As I lay here

As I lay here

A Poem by lyss

I lie here feeling the heat on my face
Eyes closed, breathing deep.
How come silence makes thinking easier?
I could lie here all day
listening to the water crash, to the children laughing.
I find peace in these moments
curling my toes in the chilled sand.
I crave these moments
the peace and solitude in my head.
 I live for these moments
that stop time
and bring the floating emptiness
that feels complete.

I love nature and listening to it. It's a beautiful thing to even think about really. Well done you're very good!

Good to relax and fall into nature and solitude. I like the place you took me in the poem. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
