I Miss...

I Miss...

I miss a lot right now...

The sound of the water

Washing over glistening sand,

Wanting it's depths to close me in.

I miss feeling His presence;

The way His protection

Surrounds me, embracing me.

I miss knowing He's always there.

I miss my long lost sister;

Here innocent smile,

Constant laughter and silliness,

I miss her love.

I miss Freedom.

Freedom to make my own choices,

To do what makes me happy,

To go and pursue what I want.

I miss feeling loved,

Being convinced I am wanted

In this world of hate and despair.

I could just die.

I miss being happy.

Having the time of my life

Without confinement,

All while living carefree.

I miss my best friend.

When we could see each other every day,

Stay up late having deep conversations

And let everything go together.

I miss my childhood

Having no stress, no worries.

I miss innocence,

And living at the top.

Most of all I miss me.

I'm lost; stranded.

I don't exist anymore.

Buried beneath years of s**t.
