She oughta Know

She oughta Know

A Poem by Marquise

she oughta know by now
to let the memories fade

she oughta know that the
photographic kisses
traced from necklace to lips
have faded away

she has to know that its
hard to shake those images
when a part of me cannot
throw them away

We drew up the perfect relationship
but she didn't know that

I was outlined by insecurity

And I ran like the ink did
Now my pen isn't the only thing that
cries away.

But i'm sure she knows thaty by now,

well at least she oughta know..

Interesting...kept rereading and seeing something different each time. Ink vs photo vs reality of living of loving of hurting. Great write lil bro..
