Pain

Pain

A Poem by Mary Jo. Clare
"

This poem describes the common feeling of pain. This poem attacks the emotional effects of pain, rather than physical pain. Please allow yourself to relate to this poem. Enjoy!

"
Pain.

It takes different sizes and forms

Occurring as a light drizzle or fatal storm

A reflex in response to betrayed love and loyalty

That causes my body to ache uncontrollably

Its darkness appears around the corner and silently lurks

Waiting to inspire a devastating world of hurt

When my heart thuds suddenly into my chest

I am aware of the presence of my unwanted guest

That fails to let me live a life of joy

Rather, it completes its task of leaving me destroyed

Dark, sad and a painful read. Expressing pain from someone who has suffered and felt maybe more than most. Thank you for sharing your wise and heartfelt, sincere poem.

You have a great insight into expressing things. take care sweetheart you have a great talent.
Ooh! Your words are filled with such sadness, and the readers feel the pain and suffering to which you've been exposed. Although dark, I liked this write. Edit out the apostrophe in L5 (should be its).

You've certainly expressed yourself in poetic form. Hope you emerge from the destructive forces in life. Keep writing to ease the pain. :-)
