Common

Common

A Poem by Kami Grace
"

We all share.

"
Soar,
feel the breezes,
cleanse the chaos,
taste the freedom.

You thought you did,
did escape from this dystopia,
did breathe in the azure aether,
did be rescued from the wrecks,
where sorrow and pain dwell,
and wound and scar swell.
You thought you did.

Shackle,
invisible, inaudible,
yet inescapable.
Unique to each being,
yet never absent.

Cunning and slithering,
chains of damnation:

The poor, poverty;
the rich, greed.
The foolish, unintelligence;
the clever, competition.
The first, solitude;
the last, jealousy.

No escape.

There is.

No escape.

Kami Grace: Those chains gave a great visual of what was to come...you are so darn talented; this one is especially raw; right in your face - a slap of reality. No? Your mind shimmered dark and deep to develop this composition, and it fantastic. I love the ripping of human nature revealed clearly at its best...& worse, however we may choose to take you. The ending is truthful - it's all there, we just how to deal with it....Thanks....Common, Hey, it's every Tuesday! Dale
