Truly

Truly

A Poem by mel
"

summer romance

"
I keep it locked down
I swallow the memory of us
it stays in the pit of my stomach
I try to keep it there
because the bittersweet romance
that's enough to break my soul wide open
leaves me breathless, speechless
I can no longer dream of you
it's poking an open wound with a stick
that sultry, sexy, temptation we gave into
I wanted that forever,
truly
but I lost you
before you were ever mine
