A Plea for a Heart

A Plea for a Heart

A Poem by linear
"

love stuff

"

I came softly into your room last night

You were sleeping with your lover in quiet slumbers

I searched, looked everywhere, beneath the bed,

In every drawer, yet I couldn’t find it anywhere

I stopped when I heard you moan

Held my breath, waited, you sighed and rolled over, arms around your lover

Oh where did you keep it, perhaps locked away?

Standing, thinking, I crept up so I was next to your head

I whispered “where is it”

Silent tears ran down my face

My search was my final disgrace

But you have to realise I need it back

I’m so tired of asking

For you

To

Give it back to me!

For you stole my heart

Now give it

Back!!

this story evokes a lot of emotions... the physical search for your heart led you back to her bedroom, that is very telling about looking for closure, that you can't live without her, and that your heart is still there with her, but she doesn't care, she even "moans" in her sleep. the piece felt very real, intense, frustrating and sad. great writing.

Stolen! oh no's ! Are you sure you just haven't misplaced it? You may have to strip search everyone in here, in fact I just don't see anyway around it. :) can I help look, what? no? oh hell. well, when someone steals something from me, my motto is : if they needed it enough to steal it then they needed more than I did, so why not just let her keep it?

why do you think they don't want it anymore? Is that a fact or an assumption?

Poignant heartfelt write . Love stuff can make you go crazy . Stolen hearts sometimes never found. Love the font and way you increased the size to show the emotions.
