Darkness (can miracles happen?)

Darkness (can miracles happen?)

A Poem by linear
"

Whatever, just me writing

"

Darkness

Oh not the dark of night

But real darkness as that of a grave

And voices without bodies

This was my world.

Yes there were male and female

Yet I had resolved to make no contact

She spoke as an angel

Fragrance of the orchid

Touched me, held me, asked me questions

Allowed me to touch her

Fingers as butterfly wings over her face

Tracing her jawbone the angle of her nose

And those lips so full as they parted

She asked me to stay

But I knew that I could not

For she would take my heart, in time she would feel sorry for me,

I would never allow that

I walked slowly away

She called out my name and I turned to the sound

To see a faint outline

A glimmer of light

And I saw a tear on a beautiful face

Then she was gone, yet my sight carried on.

I never saw her again,

I believe I saw wings in that first ray of light

That first ray of light that gave me my sight

Do miracles happen?

this reminds me of the story of Saul. His journey and his faith and the blindness that led him the truth he needed.Inspiring!

Do miracles happen? what?...Miracles happen every day, all day long! curious about this line " She asked me to stay But I knew that I could not For she would take my heart, in time she would feel sorry for me, I would never allow that" ( why would she feel sorry for you?)

oh, I see, no pun intended, He was blind and she is an angel who gave him his "sight" back?

You see, thank you :O)
Poignant like being carried away from yourself into something darker and finding the light or the courage to resist.Yet mysterious too love the lines And I saw a tear on a beautiful face
Then she was gone, yet my sight carried on.
Do miracles happen?
