Is anything really what we first thought?

We are ghosts in transition

Aimlessly searching for something to hold onto.

 

Like ships without rudders

No port insight, we reach out for love

Yet have no right.

Short, but very deep. I am not, perhaps, good with reviews, but this was wonderful. As we all pursue happiness throughout our lives, love is the ultimate light that we all try to achieve.

very true, it's not as easy as what we first thought.... reaching out for what we don't know, what right do we have? there is a reason that only so few have it. this was immaculate.

Deep write no , nothing is what we first though. Life happens so to speak while we making plans often its not always what we want , sometimes what we need and sometimes only the Gods know.

We all have every right to love, when there is no port in the cold storm, a friend is a good hand to hold onto.

We have no right to expect Love....love has to be earned (eros) when a man and a woman marry, so many expect their spouse to love them.......it is not a given. it has to be earned every single day, or very soon they will become lonely and look elsewhere for the love they need...so No we don't have a right to love...yes a friend in a storm is good, a safe haven to cling too....thank you again.

yes, the word expect changes the entire concept, you are right. Love is a constant flame that needs to be fed and nurtured, marriage is not a bond of ink and paper, it is a bond of hearts and a promise to give what the love needs to flourish with dedication and hard work. :)
