The Girl in the Purple Dress

The Girl in the Purple Dress

A Poem by linear
"

Love

"

I thought I could write, but my pen had run out of ink.

I thought I could see, but realised I was blind.

I thought I could hear the soft sweet music,

but only silence was around.

I thought I knew love and all its ways,

but then I saw you,

heard you sing,

and thats when I knew, I knew nothing at all.

For no words could explain you,

no song could tell the beauty of you,

and no other eye could see,

what I behold each time I gaze upon you!

a beautiful serenade...what a true romantic you are. I really love the last two lines, they were perfect.

Wow, this poem is so sweet and full of adoration. I wonder who was it for ;)
Anyhoo, sorry the proofreader bone in me is starting to tickle. Just a few suggestions my friend if you don't mind :)

buy my pen had run out of ink./ but realised I was blind.
- i know "buy" and "realised" were typos, but you can delete "had" and replace it with "ran"- "but my pen ran out of ink"
- and you can also do without the "you" in "For no words could explain you," and the rest could be:

For no words could explain ,
nor a song could tell
For the beauty of you,
no other eye could see
what I behold each time I gaze upon thee!

Nevertheless, good job my friend! keep that amazing hand writing :)
