Failure

Failure

A Poem by Undying Glory
"

The title says it all, really...

"

Failure

The look on my teacher’s face says it all.
The grade on the test sheet rubs it in.
A big, unforgiving, brutal F.
Feels like I’ve been driving down a road all this time
But now I’m crashing into a wall
And exploding into a billion pieces.
I’m just shattered by this.
I want to tear up the stupid test
And just throw it into the sea
Or burn it to ashes.
I come home.
My parents give me a tongue-lashing.
I’m sad and angry at myself
But I decide to work harder.
For the next test I get an A.
I rejoice.
Failure: just a traffic light on the road to success.

This is awesome! I love the last line. I should write that down and remember it. =]

so i'm reviewing!: This is really great. I absolutely love the last line, " Failure: just a traffic light on the road to success." It's got great insight, and the perspective of what I presume is a young boy is enhanced by the writing style. :) keep it up.
