A Poem by michaela

Maybe the sky is just a blanket, stretching just above my hand
As I reach out to grab the stars.
Maybe that's where you are now, just out of reach
Passed my outstretched arm.

The stars shine brighter when I look for you among them
A light from heaven, letting me know that you have arrived there.
The stars don't glint the way your smile had,
Their sparkle is nothing compared to your eyes
But it's all of you that I have left.
