Mirroring my Dreams

It's so difficult to dream, and then feel inadequate of attaining these dreams.

A dream is a mirror that sees into the soul. 

Through our greatest aspirations,

A perceptible depiction of oneself 

Is sincerely revealed.

Hopes for the future reveal character-

As do our ability to persevere in attaining them.

Staring into a dream, characteristics are manifested:

Kindness, Love, Ambition, and Justice are revealed

Just as the appearance of a face 

When staring into one's reflection in a mirror.

No reflections are identical

Just as no two dreams are

As we all seek to change the world in different ways

A different purpose for each person.

And I wish to change the world, 

In the way I dream I will

But I fear that like a broken mirror

My dream will shatter

Unremediable.

I have far to go until I see

That alternate universe, existing behind the looking glass of my soul

As a reality,

But someday, it will be clearer than my current view

From the striving, unattained side of a dream.

This just made me ache... feeling in that place of having to try and let go a dream that has sustained me so long... Yes.. i know what it is to "have far to go until i see..." Moving and magical.
