Lost Dreamers

Lost Dreamers

A Poem by Lost in Wonderland

Dreams, Dreams, Dreams

Its always seems that they will always be

Just a few feet away

Just out of reach

But always in our sight

So it keeps us hungry,

Thirsty, desperate for more

Like a poor, old beggar

Knocking at your car door

And humanity,

In all our supposed “glory”,

Sees fit to sit back, relax

And watch life pass us by

Consoling ourselves with the promise of tomorrow

Until God has no more tomorrows to give

And we lay on our death bead,

Sober and alone,

Reminiscing our droll life

Then thinking of all our crazy dreams

Still crystal clear in our mind

Wondering, “Why didn’t I?”

And as our breath fades away, a smile’s on our face

Because that childlike hope is still there…

Nice work. And that is why we live with hope but without the wonder, there is no spark to realize a dream.

Very well put. We should never lose sight of our dreams till the end. Nice poem.
