Unobtainable Joy...

I'm sick of all the anger

Of all the hate and gloom

Of all the worthless sorrow

Centered around you

 

I want to feel happy

To laugh as the birds sing their sweet melody,

To be free from fear'ss black grip

on my heart

 

I want to write about joy,

About love and peace

But if I want my poetry to be true

How do I spell out a happy ending

When all I think of is you?

True! I love this...if only we could get those stupid...stupid...things/people out of our heads to write what we want...
But that's part of writing I guess.
We need to write it out to get it out of our system.
