What am I supposed to do now?

How am I supposed to feel

When suddenly you're not here

And all you left was a note on the door

Telling me that I won’t be

Seeing you anymore

 

I’m left here staring at all

The memories framed in broken glass

Guess I was the only one

Who thought we would last

Seeing all our old smiles

Just makes me wanna cry now

‘cause I ain’t your baby girl

Anymore, no, no

 

And lifeless rose petals

Scatter the floor

I keep them there so I will hear

When you run back through the door

But its been so long now that I’m locking up my heart

And no one will hurt me anymore…

Although this is very sad it is also a very good and relatable poem. My favourite lines are;

"And lifeless rose petals
Scatter the floor
I keep them there so I will hear
When you run back through the door"

Those lines almost brought tears to my eyes, it really shows the disappointment of the break up and how much you still love the person. Great work!

The last two lines were haunting and chilling. I loved them the most.
Fourth line, second stanza, you forgot the "s" in "Last".
Anyways, the concept is smart, I like how you connect picture frames and memories. Though it's overused, you did a better job than most people.
