Farther than the sun and closer than the wind

Farther than the sun and closer than the wind

A Poem by Mirna
"

A poem I wrote about God.

"

But I want to hear you.

I want to filter all the sounds in the world

till I hear the one that has created them all.

While others hear songs and animals and waves,

I want to hear silence.

I want to hear you.

And I want to see you.

I want to part the skies

and push the suns and the galaxy out of the way

so your light could grab my soul

and pull it to where your angels stay.

 I want to see light,

I want to see you.

And I want to reach you,

I want to hop along the raindrops and each cloud’s land

till I reach the place of where the soul's feet can stand.

I want to reach the skies,

I want to reach you.

Though I can never do any of those

I cannot see you

or hear you

or reach you

but I can feel you.

and that is enough.

Wow, Amen. I agree to feel the Lord through the Holy Spirit is enough for me, but you listed his creations and the are also a wonderment to witness.

Your words are wings to lift the soul into the heavens. And yes, we can feel God as we walk among his creation; the world of wonders so many simply rush past to get inside. xo
