just a poem

The silent type that she is 

Is nothing but such sheer bliss 

Her mood, well it is jaded 

she is sad cause she is hated

And she doesn't give a damn

because nothing goes as planned.

Life just moves like a chess game 

there's always the piece that's lame

And just like a truth or dare 

does anyone really care?

No, not for a silent type 

all because' that's not her hype.

This is very identifiable. When I was a teenager my older sister told me I was 'the strong silent type ' I looked at it as a definite compliment. But being quiet has its challenges too.

The picture of woman in dark coat, head down, hiding her eyes leads the way so very well to your words.. clever choice! You're very right, the loner so often lives behind a shield, yet, the fact she writes or thinks like your poem, shows a person of different moods and thoughts. Even the fun idea of Battleships displays humour and a touch of power!

I find the shield is just an exterior for the heart that is misunderstood and mistreated.
