Little wings

Poem

From a glass stained window 

my heart is all a glow 

looking past falling snow.

All the streets are coated 

my heart is devoted 

A little simple scene 

life is born in between

flutters of little wings.

I recently won a half write contest with this and I wanted to share it with you all.
I enter random contest online sometimes. I didn't think this was all that great,
but I guess someone else did.

It reminded me of Emily Dickinson and her poem "Hope is a thing with feathers..." The image also reminds of the Belle of Amherst, the queen recluse, sitting by her window. I liked this very much, particularly these lines, "life is born in between
flutters of little wings." Very nice.
