The Heavens Tonight

Moonlight shimmers on the water

star-shine twinkles overhead

I look up towards the heavens tonight

mars is bright and jupiter cold

against the pitch black back drop

there's not a cloud in the sky to ruin this night

the smell of warm salt from the ocean

fills my nostrils and surrounds my heart

I smile and laugh inside my head

for I am happy once again

Firstly I love the structure! It looks so good on the page.

I agree with what you say, living so close to nature and particulary the sea its easy at times to shrug off your worries (if only for the moment) and just be in awe of everything around you. I think more people would be alot happier if they just stopped and appreciated a beauty which surrounds.
