Different

You love it and know you want it

It is deep inside

Since the point you were introduced to the world

It is something you never can escape

 

You want it so bad and never want it to leave

You look around to find those like you

Some hint is there and you know how to detect it

The knowing look, the knowing smile

 

They have it, holding on to it

Not wanting to let it go

You find those who are different from you

Some appreciate you for who you are

 

Others want to defile you, deny you your difference

Try to make you be like them

Squeeze you into a suit that is too tight

You focus on the positive

 

That God made you the person you are

You live and love

Wake with the energy of self and know

We are all different
