Previous Version
This is a previous version of Dear Father-.

I have never walked passed you

But You are that brown, haggard leaf in the middle of summer

Clinging to the branch like a flickering street lamp trying to hold its light

I did not watch your fall-

Although I knew it was imminent

I stepped on you, heard you crumple and crack

Under the heel of my own shoe

I winced from that sound

Should I be sorry-

Are you?
