My Heart Used To Be Broken

MY HEART USED TO BE BROKEN,

BUT TIME HEALED THE WOUNDS.

THOSE BROKEN PIECES, BUILT ME UP

BUILT ME UP SO STRONG ENOUGH,

THAT I COULD RISE AND SHINE AGAIN.

BUT AS THEY SAY,

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF,

MY HEART WAS MELTED,

THEN FROZEN,

FROZEN IN SUCH A SHAPE,

THAT WHEN IT BROKE AGAIN,

TIME COULD ONLY APOLOGIZE,

BUT COULDN’T HELP INSTEAD

Time heals the wounds. It sounds impractical to me. I don't think these wounds are ever healed. It's just that we learn to live with it, making it a part of us. But the pain remains..
