A Poem by prettybretty

breezy, blonde
waving dandelions like a wand
too young to know
that dreams are called dreams
cuz as long as you're awake
they won't come true
not the way nightmares do
and reality is not a show
but they'll never tell you so
they'll just chew you up,
spit you out, swallow you whole,
cook your soul.
serve it up on a plate
so before it gets too late
go back to your waking dreaming state
