Ethics 901

A Poem by prettybretty

They say there's a Father
and he's the Most High

but here i am HURT
by things that are benign

and benevolence
looks like malevolence to me

'cause somebody always has to get HURT
in your bubble you say
"lucky it wasn't me, i won the lottery"

while somebody else
doesn't know how to start the day

your god looks like male violence to me
pretty and irrelevant on hands and knees

and a newspaper in the 70s reads:

"even the boy in the bubble
can't be safe
in this plastic place!"

So very true, the harsh reality of life kicks us all right in the teeth at times.
