Some thing or other

set the wheels of Existence

to churning of turning,

becoming all that we see,

all as this planet that we know.

Matters not, really, the who,

the what, or magical how,

but it does matter as to why,

a why which returns back, again,

to how could such a reality be?

How could, a painter, as an artist,

a master craftsman, bar none,

create all that is, all that will

ever be, as the likes of you and me,

tiny in comparison as are flowers:

Small, fragile, designed to bloom,

destined to fade away in Seasons

of Springs, to become a Winter's end,

which will never see the same petals

of blossoms, ever again, but petals anew?

So, imagine the how, and the why,

that some thing, above all that is,

which encompasses the sky on high,

bigger than is the sun or stars above,

could proclaim itself to be that of Love?

And yet, threaten as a great mountain,

to rumble down upon fragile flowers

as Love, as kindness most merciful,

sent from that above of purest Love,

entrusted to the hands of men-as-Man?

How could, and why would, a thing

or other -- (a painter, as an artist,

a master craftsman, bar none,

create all that is, all that will

ever be, as the likes of you and me,

tiny in comparison as are flowers)

 -- say to a most fragile flower,

“I will pull your petals, one by one,

and rip your roots from earth, undone,

and crush you in my mighty hand -- of Love!?”

I agree, Winston!

You see, as an EX-Preacher, I no longer believe in the God(s) of Organized-Relgion. Thus, there are those who call me Atheist. I have many Atheist friends online. But, I differ from them in that I attest that the Universe of our Existence did not pull itself out of the Magician's Hat of its own arse.

Atheists do not believe in God (neither do I believe in the God(s) of Organized Religion, per se) or any Eternal After-Life (as neither do I). But, the standardized rhetoric for the average Atheist is to also state that the Universe just happend, has always been here, without beginning or end, and as such in an ETERNAL fashion of existence. Pretty handy, I think to latch onto one of the very key words that Atheist proclaim to not believe in, within their very viable and intelligent arguments against Religion as Organized Religion, and that, I believe, out of fear of being led back to that when of wherein and whereof they came, just as proponenst of Organized Religion live in fear of facing or confessing the possibility that the personage that they refer to as God does not exist, and is men-as-Man made, though some THING or other had to have brought Existence into reality of being that which we do witness right before our very eyes. Fear is the problem, as is arrogance, and stupid stubbornness on both sides of a solvable issue: Just state for the friggin' record that there are some things in the Universe that we just do not have answers to, though we shall always seek them.

Until then, Atheist and Religious folk, alike, operate upon that which I have self-coined and choose to call The Doctrine of Pick & Choose, as per all too apprarent agreement and intelligent assessment of your excellent comment.

I think to even attempt to understand the universe we must disassociate from our human arrogance that somehow we as observers are a critical aspect of time and space. I think it more helpful to consider the universe from the perspective of the universe. Tine, beginnings and ends - these are concepts of man, not of the universe. How or even if the universe had a beginning is unknowable therefore irrelevant. The best we can do is form possibiltles based on testable data. Beliefs based on evidence are of far greater value than faith in magical thinking.

Good thoughts shared. I would never argue that Time is a men-as-Man made concept. Yet, even Science notes that there is a such thing as Fuel Expenditure, which is the case with Stars and the lifespans of Stars, which do, eventually, die.

Light and Sound require a span of distance to travel from point A to point B, and this can/could be assessed as a span of whatever that does denote something that Man connotates as Time, though Time may well not be the correct assessment of concept, because Man made the concept of Time. However, there are things going on in our Universe that do attest to a progression's duration of something, or other, that we cannot explain, which Man calls Time, but may not be Time at all, but to the wondering mind is totally relevant, though, more than most likely, no suitable or viable answer shall ever be discovered or held in Man's hand as found. What does appear to be apparent is that matter never ceases to exist as matter, elements, molecules, atoms, etc., but does go through some type of inexplicable transformation of shifting, via what Man terms as Death, from one state or stage of matter existence to another, for it is my understanding ( could be wrong for sure) that matter never ceases to exists, although that which we see and experience does cease to exist in ways that men-as-Man can relate to and insignificantly understand ...

You are not off base at all, whatsoever. It is simply a fact that the religious mind seeks after something as an anchor to stand upon, which to you is irrelevant, but to them is most relevant, though neither perspective is truthfully wrong in any fashion, thereof.

It is my purpose to seek to find perspectives as possible theoretical answers that serve to, not give solid conrete answers that Man shall never have but, bridge that gap betwixt relevancy of the religious mind, and irrelevancy of the nonreligious mind, in hope of attaining a level of common ground wherein all opposition's animosity may be put to rest, and that for the good of Mankind's Humanity. For, ultimately, if we could set aside as trivial matter of religion or non religion, the future existence of Humanity, as unique individuals, is all that truly matters any given day of the week, month, year, or moment of any time, whether or not Time does exist or not. We must meet people where they are at, attempt to enlighten them without offending to the brink of never listening to a word we have said, and hope that they do see that extinction is before us all, one day soon enough, without the hindrances of bickering over a God or no God. Because, at the end of any day, where the f**k is that God, when Man, when Humanity, needs him? And, that fact faced head-on. There is no one, not a one, in Man's corner, pulling for all Mankind's Humanity, but Man himself, hellbent on annihilation's extinction Suicide. That which is non-relevant, is all of the above. That which is relevant is to somehow insure the survival and perpetuity of Mankind's Humanity. And it is to this end, not to win, that I dedicate myself as a fellow flawed Human Being ...
