The Dreamer

The Dreamer

A Poem by Murtuza
"

A poem about the Dreamer

"
They can look,
They can stare
say all they want
I won’t care.

“You’re foolish! you’re wrong!”
whatever their words
the same old song.

I won’t give reason;
Nor excuse.
Explain myself to them?
That, I refuse.

‘Cause at the end of the day,
When on my bed I lay
With a tortured mind
And a bruised pride,

I redeem my thoughts
And remove myself,
From their selfish plots.

I don’t need a dagger,
I don’t need a hammer
To remove my obstacles,
I don’t need miracles.

With a fearless heart
And a determined soul,
Wherever I’m at,
I will reach my goal.

Then I’ll show them

That in this world,
A handful of money
Is just fool’s gold.

But my worn out jeans
Have a pocket full of hope;
And through any hardship,
I’m able to cope.

When they doubted me,
And called me a dreamer
Today they’ll see,
I’ve lived on forever
In the truth that has prevailed
And the song where I’m Hailed

They’ll repent for their deeds
And reap misery
From their seeds.

So the next time,
You see a boy,
With an angry face
Wearing jeans of joy,

“The dreamer”, You’ll call him,
What they called me

And when his life looks dim
And he’s cursed eternally,

Tell him to look up
Because stars only spark
When the sky is dark

And one only dreams
When reality is,
Not what it seems.

=who isn't a fool in this world? haha
but seriously, i like what you're trying to say. The determination to be remembered and respected forever. to have a life worth living... we have the save dream dude.
however, there's still room for improvement for the rhyming. just let the emotions flow--and of course, practice

Dreams can lead you anywhere and any place. With dreams you can fly and have imaginary! :)

This is the right attitude. Believe in your dreams and ignore the nay-sayers. Do you think the Wright Brothers could've invented the airplane, otherwise?
