Me Shuddering

Me Shuddering

A Chapter by Jim W White

You said:

"Well, that's the end of that!"

I fell.. asleep..

not on purpose,

I swear I was listening

though out-cold on my knees.

Wake up laughing, regretful

and saying "sorry.. [mumbles].."

You asking "What the f**k?"

Me shuddering suddenly

keeling over backwards.

A hit on the head

will warm the neck

for a hard slap from reality

ready to be

bowled over by the simple fact

that

time is pissing past without me

my body is shaking to pieces as

We roll a some-hundred

thousand miles per hour

through days of starting

and finishing

stirring from sleep

Travelling a whole

long way without

ever..

going..

any..

where..

What about that? I like the way the words flow. Naturally. Without pretense or apology. They are what they are. And tired from travelling as we do, who wouldn't understand that?
