Rippled Wave - Lone Traveler II

Rippled Wave - Lone Traveler II

A Poem by Amanda

How could one not acknowledge their own allure?
Better yet, how could one now acknowledge their own beauty?
What has caused these actions?
Like a rippled wave
Cause and effect.
How could one not see that with every look they give, they weaken the knees of others
That when they touch people, they touch their souls.
The coldness that once lived within me has disappeared because I fell,
Fell into the spoken words of your being.
Thoughts of possibilities that could ignite our future...
Fell into you
Like you fell into me
Over
And over.
Now how quickly one can become lost in the waves of an ocean
One that calms your mind, and cools your body
One that glistens in the sun ever so gently, but has fierce depths impossible to reach.
I have become lost in your tide
Grew tired.
Tired of fighting against your current which has made me realize
I'm the fool
Just traveling through.
But you were beautiful.

Ain't that just the way with romantic encounters? You think it's the most wonderful thing that ever happened only to discover it's no different from any other love.
But we have to enjoy them while we have them.
You remember,"It is far better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all."
I really thought this was interesting.
I may have missed the point, but it did stimulate my smallish brain.
