Childly Success Come 6

Childly Success Come 6

A Poem by Michael Giles
"

A poem I wrote for my brother now that he's already in 6th grade and sooner, he will accept the new challenges coming on his way as he steps higher into a new journey, high school life. +1 year ago+ He just graduated. Thank God. But, I wasn't able to g

Back through the onset of an undefined time, KNOWLEDGE was no word to me.
All I wanted was FUN, to play on my innocence. Enjoy and free.
Failing to achieve my ambitious cravings was just NOTHING at all;.
Plain CURIOSITY eagerlyly dwell in my weak, mental wall.

My parents’ WARMTH held my hands towards entering that scary, large place.
My first STEP fooled on me as I landed on a safe pace.
I needed company, and He gave me a FRIEND.
Not just one, but countless, who morphed into CLASSMATES in a jocund trend.

Every leap of my instincts and irresistible SEARCH for answers had been a challenge.
I absorbed all TRUTH and denied the fallacies edge to edge.
I built some FRIENDSHIPS that I felt would never last.
For never will any be erased on my PAST.

I doubted on my abilities of situations to rise upon reaching the toughest GRADE.
Could I be as strong as those who made IT, before their last minutes of walk eventually fade?
“I can do this”, said I in a fiercely decided notion.
And I started achieving; aim through chasing a VISION.

The final battle has come, and numerous months turned finite.
And realized I had mined diamonds of insights from every treasure of plight.
Still running in this soon-to-end RACE,
A feeling of an awaited SUCCESS shows up in willful grace.
