Apprehensive Arsonist

Bountiful burden, disastrous desire 

I worry that this spark will cause a forest fire 

Onerous smoke and spits of flame 

Car ride comments and slits of shame 

Sorted sadness, take your turn

Rosy cheeked heart with blood to burn 

Backdoor worry now nothing but embers 

The foreign feeling of warm Decembers 

Fearful freak of nature, some copper lined twister

Stirrings of a girl much less pretty than her sister

Innocent smiles or charismatic cremation

Unextinguished confusion, artful amputation 

Wax woven wings doomed to ignite

Molten lava current, just starting to fight 

Dry grass and soft words up in a blaze

Smoldering sentiments nothing but a phase

Emerald eyes of an eerie explosion

Rocks ground to sand in poetic erosion

Formidable fusillade is founded friendship's fuel

Countered concern is compassionately cruel

Scorched ceasefire from a lost loving larcenist

The mournful mumblings of an apprehensive arsonist

Although your meter alters along the way, your words seem to tell a secret perhaps, yet, words needing to be known.. the truth and nothing but..
