Master Of Love

The master of love…….

I was the master of love indeed
One of my students was cupid
I controlled hearts ,fears, &even tears
Of so many lovers ,as I was their dream
I can still hear them begging me
&I recall the scene of having them on their knees
They just admitted it,I was everything anyone would ever need
I was pain ,pleasure ,danger &security
I was the star in the sky &the treasure down the sea
I must 've been the master of love indeed

Here comes he ,riding the strength of a king
With the eyes of a master I decided that no one is like him
He is special ,he had everything
Closer to me softly he came
Nothing later on stayed the same
I found my kingdom burning with flames
I shouted who did that? who would dare?

He looked straight in my eyes,
this moment I was turned from a queen to a slave
I swear I never felt this way
In a moment I was deprived of my crown
My power &everything simply were converted to none

I offered my all,he possessed my soul at ease
&everything my tricks my games became history
&with all that I've a feeling that is so weird
With the end of all that I'm not sorry
&suddenly am no longer afraid of being weak
I can tell that being weak gave me strength ina way I can not believe

&here passes my passionate student…cupid…saying
Everything you are going through is coz of my arrow,because of me
With all my due respect,allow me to call u a crazy lover
Because am the master of love indeed

Interesting write you have shared here with us. I didn't know that anyone could honestly master love in such a way. Often I have seen people with confidence acheive the status you speak of in your first few versus. They claim to understand the other sex so well and they push their chest out with pride, but always there is one that they try to conquer and in doing so they are conquered and get to taste the other end of the sword. Like your poem shares, the other end is sweet and not painful at all. Not many truly understand the surrender you speak of or being weak for it takes great strength to accept this in ones life. I love the ending, yes to me cupid is the true ruler of love and weilds the arrows at will melting any icy heart. Excellent poem!
