Red Rainbow Halos

Red Rainbow Halos

A Poem by Natasha Ashway
"

Impressions from a lovely night sky. Amazing.

"

I watched a moon show last night,
Somehow

it made everything

al'right,

The sky was

emptying down universe in

its amazing way,
An expanding concave surface

breaching billions of galaxies

far away,

The wispy clouds

sketched out vast dimensions

to me,
The wind blew them past

sieving moonlight in

color tinged degree,

Red rainbow halos

appeared in the cottony white islands

gliding,
Across the brilliant half-face

of an orb so familiar

it was surprising!

The stars were mini-moons;

the moon was

that white,
The sky was endless beyond them;

the stars were

that bright,

The air was clear and

seemed fashioned for the sole purpose of

holding the figments above it,
So I breathed it in deeply

stood in one spot looking upwards

and took in every bit.

A nice piece, but a little choppy and it doesn't run as smoothly as it could. Shorten the lines a little, or make one line into two and you have the makings of a masterpiece here. A beautiful, vivid poem that makes me wish I were there to see the beautiful sight you saw. XX

One thing I realised after reading. This was written to be read, like a continous flow of thoughts. There's an excitement here that can only be expressed by hearing this.

This piece is fantastic, the ending brought the concept full circle
perfect as it should, to think in hues, pure imagery and insight,
a poem to sweep the reader away, keep it up.

I also enjoyed your piece (thanks for finding some meaning in my essay). Well quantum energy is not a trend I think this is how things are, it s there, it always has been. We can watch things and we might not see. It depends, as I said in another piece "it depends who is looking and what for". Wonderful metaphysical poem. I loved it. Be well.

I love the mysterious beauty and power the moon holds... it can bring clarity to a situation or cast shadows that confuse the mind... what a stimulating piece of work.

Fantastic imagery. Wow... loved it..
This piece took me into another
world... mystical, magical... up with and beyond
the stars and the moon, floating through
the universe... in my mind...

Wonderful work. Personally, I found that
it flowed well... I read through it smoothly..
I glided actually. :)

Great job!

I enjoyed this piece; I have always wanted to write a poem about the moon, stars and skies and got several tips from this piece. 'Across the brilliant half-face of an ord so familiar'. That right there is a brief but loaded description of the half moon I see up in the sky and want to invite into my writing.

Great; keep it up.

i liked this poem a lot. the way you described the sky was very mystical and rich and you kept that through out the poem. i especialy like the fourth paragraph, you just seemed to describe everything in there with such a different perspective. great write!
