Don't Go

Don't Go

A Poem by Neal S

That old tin can
You threw your pennies in
Just in case
You have to run

Those black and white photographs
Faded and torn
They stay in your heart
Like the thorn on a rose

No need to worry love
I'm here with you

Thanks Ray!
This really appeals to me, I find it very relatable in so many ways.
The saving of pennies for a rainy day and the running away, powerful and emotional images.
And the photographs, so hard to look upon sometimes because those old feelings come back.
Really like those last two lines... Very reassuring. Love comes and goes but stays forever...
