Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by New Theory
"

Waiting for someone, who may never come back but still you hope.

"
So what if it is a day,
it is still darkness behind the charcoal clouds
Slowly dispersing, offering a false ray of hope
Marred by the wind gushing in faster, stronger
bringing with it another thunderstorm
More clouds, more darkness, more sadness
It is a cold, wet day
It drizzles and gushes for hours
Until the last drops get their chance
To kiss the love drenched earth alas
The sky has cleared, blue visibile.
Sun however is behind the distant hill.
Maybe I will have to wait through the night.
Another long unsure wait, hoping for its sight.

no. you are a peach. New Theory, what is new theory? What is new theory about? You play with the elements, the rain, the sun, the umbrellas, and master the great science of waiting, how, clansman/clanswoman, we are breathless, weightless, and our earth signs hover about in the atmosphere with the struggling mother earth

I really liked how you used nature to describe the hardship of moving on. The rains may come, but the sun will always rise again. Well done with this piece!

The clouds always seem to be brighter than they really are... Which meaning our minds like to play tricks on us... Making us think we are over it when actually were not

Thank you Sonashree :).
Time has taught me if not anything, then to be patient :)
Through the melancholy there is anticipation. Go towards hope.

Thank you Science Lady :). Hope I have loads of :)
One thing I've noted about this poem's atmosphere is that your speaker seems disconcerted, conflicted, sensing with their melancholy the bleakness of life as a whole yet acknowledging what blissful highs it is capable of. It makes your speaker feel as if they are fighting against both negativity and positivity, actively adopting a black & white frame of mind, which evidences a.. disturbance (for lack of a better word) or instability within your speaker. Well done.

Wow...not only is this another superb poem, but I also relate to it very well. That feeling of dispar, that slight chance of hope, only to be taken away so that you can begin to heal and move on. Well done sir, well done.
