Writers cafe used to be a happy place 

A site were you could write for fun 

Get reviews and give reviews 

Make friends and write

Now there is more drama than before 

People are leaving 

Writers are being bullied 

Not many want to stay 

Writers cafe what more can I say?

What happened to this site?

People are being mean just for spite

It just doesn't seem right 

I hope we can all get along

Having more people write again 

Bringing back those who have left 

Making this site a happy place once again

Writers cafe used to be so fun 

Now just drama....

I've been here a long time and the drama thing is relatively new. There are some writers that left only because they wanted to move on. Others, are probably not coming back because of it as you've mentioned. It is sad but no free writing site is immune to it.

This is the second poem that I have seen dedicated to the fight against bullying on writers cafe. And to be honest, it scares me. Because now the place I call home is in jeopardy. I really admire everyone who is taking a stand.

You are 100% correct and it's not bad enough the petty arguing and childish name calling that has to go on for everyone to see, the behind the scenes stuff is disgustingly horrific. You are right on, why can't we all just get along or at least mind our own business. I hope many people read this poem Mandabear

Thanks for the review first of all. Yeah it sucks that this really has become more like facebook then anything else. People can't write just to have fun anymore because more and more people are bulling them. Why? What does that prove? The only thing it says is that you aren't as secure with yourself and you have to bring others down with you so you so how feel better. I dont like it when people say well its because I am just like that (mean). No You didn't start out mean you just felt bad about yourself and just wanted to take someone with you. I agree is disgustingly horrific!

What is the solution? Most sites are the same. Starlite imploded when it was purchased by a poet on site and used for a personal vendetta. This one seemingly is left to work itself out, and has fallen into chaos. It is up to the poets to work it out. The alternative is censorship, and that is worse.

Yeah I don't know the solution all I know is I am going to keep doing what I am doing and be nice to everyone. Write because I think it's fun and if you like that then fine if not thats okay too. I dont want to be part of the problem you know what I mean!

Very well put Droc, mate. There is a consensus that we all wish to be a nurturing and learning and loving (not in the stupid sense) place. But bush fires seem to quickly get out of control.
