Ice Cold Eyes

inspired by a poem I saw on here.

You look at me and say I caused your pain 

Like I’m the only reason you’re still alive 

You look at me with such cold eyes 

Don’t make me the reason you want to die 

Even the sight of me makes you sick 

I’m the disease that infected you 

 My very existence needs to be erased

A very powerful saying and meaning behind this. I can't relate to this, but my ex can cause the girl he just broke up with tried to kill herself, so now she's I'm a mental hospital. They were together about a year and three months, which totally blows if you end it cause being the girl, you feel like it didn't mean anything.

Very interesting style of writing. Very straightforward and concrete, and very little to no use of imagery or abstract metaphors to get your point across. Sometimes it is refreshing to see a poetic voice that refuses to "beat around the bush". I like the repetition of "you look at me with such cold eyes".
