One hundred thousand

One hundred thousand

A Poem by MandaBear
"

This is my take on Plato's Quote "A hero is born among a hundred, a wise man is found among a thousand, but an accomplished one might not be found even among a hundred thousand men." Love or hate??

"
Terrible nightmares
Plagued every waking moment.
Shots fired; Bodies rolled.
Souls lost forever in the mold.

Trying to be something your not.
Your among-st many people.
All with a different face,
And the same story.

Its kill or be killed kind of world.
Machine gun to Machine gun.
Seems like no other way out.
Lost hopes and forgotten dreams.

A hero is being born out of this darkness.
A wise man is found among the thousands.
But an accomplished one might not be found.
Even among a hundred thousand men.

With their war paint on they find a reason to fight.
Thinking of a loved one or their fellow brother.
Everyone has a reason to fight; Good or Bad.
Sometimes though you got to pick our battles.

A hero was found,
A wise man was found.
One accomplished man was found.
But we call them U.S. Soldiers.

A hero, a wise man and an accomplished man all rolled into one hundred thousand.

This would be a smashing tribute to our soldiers! You should really think about sending this out to them. I am sure they would really appreciate your words.
