Nothingness

Nothingness

A Poem by MandaBear
"

This is about a guy that is looking at himself in the mirror and not liking what he sees. Love or hate?

"
I look into your eyes and see pools of empty thought
Void of any emotions, any heart.
No breath to speak of
Is there any life in there?
I look into you heart and saw pure black
An emptiness so cold it could freeze hell.
Somewhere that should make you feel loved;
Is just a place you go to die.
I look at your body and see a frail figure,
Beat down, broken, and bruised.
Skin so pale and white,
You could see the gloom of your heart.
Once a soul of many colors,
You gave a rainbow a run for its money.
Your soul shined brighter than the sun.
Your heart had an infinite amount of love.
Looking for a escape
A way to run from your self
Run from the image the scares you so
Your afraid to come back to life
You are terrified of what you see
You can't even look your self
You force yourself in the mirror
You have to face what you fear the most
When looking in the mirror
I see eyes, heart and a body
A former shadow,
Of the man I wish I could be.

You have the sentence formation down, and the words are a stageplay
of intent and imagery that invokes a sense of awareness, excellent job.
