You Are...(Age 17)

You are the thought that starts each morning,

The conclusion to each day,

You are in all that I do,

and everything I say.

 

You are the smile on my face,

The twinkle in my eye,

The warmth inside my heart,

The fullness in my life.

 

You are the hand that's laced in mine,

And the coat upon my back,

And when your not around,

You're like the vitimans that I lack.

 

You are my silly, mature, caring,

Thoughtful, bright and honest guy,

The one who holds me tightly,

When I feel I want to cry.

 

You are the dimple in my cheek,

The ever-constant tingle in my soul,

The voice that makes me weak,

The only one who makes me whole.

 

You are all I've ever wanted,

You are all I'll ever need,

You are all I've ever dreamed of,

You are all of this to me.

It's a really nice poem. I write like this too. The song I wrote I thought was strong enough, the one you read. I didn't want it to have those kinds of strong words with this one that wouldn't suit or be right for that one. I have other songs (or poems) that may sound a bit poetic or stronger in the words. I'm sure you will like those better (a couple of them I will put up real soon).
