Chapter 4

Valentine's Massacre of the Heart

 

The relationship was going great. Or at least that's what I thought. You see one of my close friends, in fact we were so close that she was like a sister to me, developed a crush on Tristan. I had overheard a conversation between Tristan and my friend, Lanette, one day. This was their conversation:

Lanette: Why are you with her?

Tristan: I dunno...I like her a lot...

Lanette: Why?

Tristan: She's sweet.

Lanette: I'm sweeter. Do you like me?

Tristan: I do--

Lanette: So go out with me.

Tristan: No, I'm not leaving her.

Lanette: Fine, you'll be sorry.

 

As she walked away I started walking as if I had never been standing there. I didn't say anything because I knew he wouldn't leave.

We were fine for a few weeks until....Valentine's....

I couldn't take the pressure of it anymore... I was falling in love with him, but he liked my friend....What was I supposed to do? I finally resolved my problem...my solution was: LEAVE.

I waited till i knew what I wanted to say...which, unfortunately, was late that night. I IMed

him and this is how it went:

AnimeGirl08: Hey...

ShadowNinja09: Hey

AnimeGirl08: What's up?

ShadowNinja09: Nothing...I have to tell you something...

AnimeGirl08:I do too...you go first....

ShadowNinja09: k...I love you....

AnimeGirl08: Then why do you like my friend?

ShadowNinja09: I don't

AnimeGirl08: You're lying to me, Tristan, I heard you and

Lanette talking...she asked you if you liked her and you said YES.

ShadowNinja09:So?

AnimeGirl08: I'm breaking up with you...

ShadowNinja09: NO!

AnimeGirl08: Just friends...please Tristan...

ShadowNinja09: Fine.

AnimeGirl08: Bye *signed off*

That was NOT how I planned it to go....I wanted to simply break it off and be friends. But, he made it a little more difficult for me.... He told me he loved me and that was ALL I could think about the rest of the night...I felt horrible...
