Some are Numb

Some are Numb

A Poem by James Takeo Panton
"

I try, and it isn't easy sometimes....

"

Some are numb, and some are dumb
But most choose their own fate
The antagonism that they conspire
In them, I shall not participate

I do endure, I do my best
To lead as if by example
Though I may not perfect, true
But my will is pure and ample

I claim no fame, nor any shame
Yet strive to give as much as I can
I will not waver, nor retreat
And firmly I shall stand
