Mourning

Mourning

A Poem by James Takeo Panton
"

For my uncle, who passed away today

"

Before me now, dark and deep
The ones I loved shall forever sleep
That I would be as much as they
Not that they are gone away
Those I hold now close to heart
Never again shall we ever part
Forever live in memory
Of all the things that will not be
Carry on in heart and mind
Never again to find such kind
These tears now flow as I now weep
For you have entered endless sleep
From this world you gained release
And now you shall rest in peace
