Trade

Trade

A Poem by nyi
"

dedicated to all the victims of human-trafficking

"

Killer instinct runs in their blood

For I know not, how they get the gut

They color my life with chaos of trouble

All I have left is this heap of sorrow

They bisects my life till I’m half-dead

Ravish me savagely is their favorite task

And I cry and cry at night

I have no energy left to survive

The more I talk, the more I get stalked

By the creatures and besides me they walk

How could they feast on my precious life?

My life is downhill so I try to glide

Without pleasure or enthusiasm left to fight

My courage has transformed into foam

Every time they squeeze it, my heart is blown

Nothing has value in this kind of trade

Although my soul and body have been raped

two/three years ago when i was still in my glorious college years i happened to watch a movie called 'Trade'...it's about a 14 years old Mexican girl sold to USA and it was a true story...since then i always wanted to write something regarding this particular subject called..Human-Trafficking..so i now wrote this with my limited knowledge of English and writing skill..this is very compact and may be this would not be good or great one..but no harm's done in writing this i guess..please leave some comments..i also want to thank some members..who help me to improve my writing since i joined this web site..thanks for reading this..

I don't know.. Something is so lacking in this one. Might be because of the bad rhymes and not-so-abrupt imagery. But for a poem written 4 years ago, it's alright. I hadn't even started writing then, lol. :) Just that, in the 4 years time, you could've edited it, improvised a little. Maybe you hate editing poems. lol :) Keep writing.

This is well penned and I can feel sorrow for the individual. Human Trafficking is one of the most bile acts out there.

We all feel the pain of this pour soul. You have made us aware of this suffering and we now understand how bad these crimes need to stop.

This a beautifully written emotional piece about a topic it is visible you care about. Bravo, this piece has great wording. I am quite impressed.

This is very good, especially since English isn't your first language. You captured the emotions well of this victim. Fantastic job! :D

A very real and somewhat brutal glimpse into the life of the 'sold'. It is told without prejudice and presents itself clearly and succinctly from an innocent point of view. You have chosen a significant subject here, and have dealt with it well. The arrangement and wording and form is subtly straight-forward, and the overall work has a power - particularly in the conclusion.
There are still a few minor errors, though, that need to corrected, but they do not detract from the effect of the poem.

I feel this is by far the best I've read from you! It is a very moving write about a harsh reality...And you have worded it brilliantly..."They colour my life with the chaos of trouble" is a very potent line...and the last four lines develop the sorrow, pain and the hollowness that comes after, in gut wrenching fashion right up to the last word.
In your previous writes, I always thought that you had all the right words...but they weren't stringed together properly...This time you have achieved that to great effect! The articles seem to be in place too this time around...Very very well done!

P.S: One minor point about grammar...It should be "Ravishing me savagely is their favourite task" instead of "Ravish me savagely is their favourite task"
