Love Becomes You

Love Becomes You

A Poem by Hannah Erickson
"

Written for a special someone.

"

Love becomes you.

It wraps you in its gentle glow

Then the flame grows

And gleems from your eyes.

Your smile widens and brightens.

Written there is a glimmering hope

That you are no longer alone

In this vast and lonely world

And never again will lonliness grip

Your strengthened heart's new rhythm.

The windows to your soul still glisten

Embarrassing a vain and blistered sun

In his temporary blue domain.

Your newfound light is eternal;

Your aura a purer crystalized indigo.

It grows with the swell in your heart.

Every touch, every kiss, causes it to pulse.

You gleefully allow love to consume you

And so it becomes you.

LOVELY!!!! Wow.... this one everybody better read over and over, I swear it gets deeper and more brilliant every time it's read. How utterly beautiful and wonderfully joyous. That someone sure is special... and very, very lucky. Excellent write.
Is this a typo?... should "with" be WILL in the line:
And never again with lonliness grip

I so love this piece, thanks so much for sharing it with the group. Awesome!!

About
This is the only place where my writing from high school still exists. A lot of it is embarrassing to adult me, but I'm not going to begrudge teenage me of her thoughts and feelings. I may add som.. more..
