A Poem by R J Askew

(((((((((( CRUSH  DEPTH ))))))))))

~

And when you think swift love's gone deep

Deeper, down, down, dive, down, down, dive

Deeper go, deep go, deeper .. still ..

Into love's oceaniqueness

Compressionisticalities

In water's hush we are conceived

My coeleocanthus dancus

To love in water's crush we live

To fuse in tidal harmonies

In limpet lips in rushing real

Drowns in water's dream conception

Before before .. before water

Flash in primal pageant master's court

To verse a universe from nought

Being the first piece of yours that I've read, I'm not disappointed, having been primed by your unusual reviews of late. You are definitely writing outside the dots, which I love, but also with a linear message that I can follow (I'm not good at interpreting abstract). You are so imaginative with your delicious made-up words & completely original observations, blending love ideas with ocean imagery. Some of my faves: "oceaniqueness" . . . "limpet lips" . . . great tidal pool of creativity.

I am astounded and all I can say is wow. I let this flow over me like a tidal wave and it left me absolutely godsmacked! :)

Easier to reach the bottom of the Mariana trench than plumb the full depth of love. :))

Ahh, Mariana, I remember her well *bows*
Ah, the sweet crush of water, lulling and all surrounding like those faintly remembered moments of safe, secure bliss before we birth into this mad, mad world.

Every line is a joyous celebration and for some reason I am now dreaming of mermaids; wishing that just for a moment I could swim in love's oceaniqueness, (what a beautiful word,) and those tidal harmonies you so temptingly offer.

Exquisite word play RJ.

Beccy.

Cheers Beccy .. I've been swimming a lot recently .. mind turning to water!
What an extraordinary write.. what an interesting play of words and phrases!!! Like the reviewer below, i so approve of writers who use their imagination when it comes to language not merely theme. For some reason i think of Lear wed to Milligan! Milllearer perhaps? Added to that, seems a diverse mix of fun and romance in this which leads the mind elsewhere.

Far more people should review this and thus, romp into and upon another dimension...

Oceaniqueness. Compressionisticalities. I love writers who aren't afraid to bend words :)
A deep blue experience. Love is.
