The Skies

The Skies

A Poem by Lune
"

A story of love between the sun and the moon.

"
They were as dark as the empty skies,
Could swallow the light,
A mist from above, pulls them to tie.
Tides crashing, waves swaying,
His love for her, always unveiling.

Soon a light shined, glistening from above,
He was under the dark and she, under the stars.
A shadow peaking over his shoulder,
And illuminating before hers,
He was hers and she, his.

They fixed each other, harmony to one another,
Their voices clashed yet tunes surged,
Resentment gone, love all but dawned,
Peace being a flower to be drawn.
Their eyes met as dusk and dawn merged.

Soon they were the dusk to dawn,
Only to merge, not to form.
They captivate yet repelled,
Met but never met.
It had all but a start as it came to an end.

They were as dark as the empty skies,
Darker than a void, darker than her heart.
It was a story not with a start but a storm.
Tides rising and falling as her mood swings,
Clouds falling with her fury.

He felt emptier than the vast seas,
As did he to the bare skies,
The pain numbed as did it heal,
The wounds itched and dried
As he floated in the deep seas.

He was the light to her dark,
He was the sun as she was the moon.
Now he floats as she drowns deeper,
A voice never to be heard when submerged,
The surreal magic now a forgotten tragedy.
