Enough

Enough

A Poem by Caitlin Nicole
"

The best of us pay the most.

"

Has he had enough?

Slammed against a locker door,

Knocked to the cold, tile floor,

Trembling from what he has in store,

Has he had enough?

Children laughing, calling names,

Pointing fingers, playing games,

He’ll be the victim depression claims,

Has he had enough?

Blood drips slowly from his nose,

And louder, louder the laughing goes,

No longer dodging sadistic blows,

Has he had enough?

So this is what the world’s become,

The bad just laugh while good lie numb,

Evil speak freely, moral weep dumb,

Have we had enough?

I love it, and I hate it. I love the poem and that you speak truth that cries out to be spoken. I hate it in that there is something in this world that inspires you to write such a poem. Every day I become more and more disheartened at what we (humanity) are becoming.
