Melancholy love

Melancholy love

A Poem by Pankaj Lohia

With the sun, rises a new hope each day

One word from her, is all I desire

Remembering all the places

Where we had once been

All the words, once whispered

Lost in her reverie, in her dreams

With the fading sun, lost is another day

Waiting in vain, nothing left to say

But faith never ceases, as time passes away

When my eyes shut, I see her

They open fruitlessly, only to miss her

Dreams become the new reality

Mind loses its normality

Is this how it was meant to be?

Not as we thought initially

In despair but the mind refuses to quit

The one that I called my life

Has she forsaken me?

It would remain unanswered for eternity

Being swallowed by the emptiness

inside Learnt to live, having lost it all

The new way of life, hollowed and alone...

A poem full of sadness...It will be alright....You know, people say time heals wounds...if it is not meant to be, time will be your companion, time will cover up the scars in your heart. It will only take time...That's the only thing you will lose, believe me. I bet poetry, too, is a good way to make this time seem less long, less streched..
So it is kind of self helping, and productive actually if you turn your sufferings into words in poetry...:)
