Chances

Chances

A Poem by parker

Look in my eyes, see that spark?
Pale little shimmer in the endless dark?
Its a chance for us two, it's a could be
it's a possible new opportunity.
But even if you can’t help but think it,
Don’t call it love, 'cause you’ll sink it.

Feel that new skip in your heartbeat?
That jump in your pulse when you see me?
It's a beautiful new possibility
gossamer strands of a might be.
But even if you think we can make it,
Don’t call it love, 'cause you’ll break it.

See how our fingers discover
Every new inch of each other?
It's the first few hesitant steps.
The threshold of what's coming next,
But even if you know we can do it,
Don’t call it love, 'cause we’ll lose it.
